Crash course in Sleep Medicine

The Academy of Sleep and Consciousness (ASC) is offering again the Crash Course in Sleep Medicine. This course takes place online with a flexible starting time. It is a self-study program with 30 pre-recorded online lectures, a summary of the Master of Advanced Study Program in Sleep Medicine. This course is also very helpful if you are preparing to take an exam in sleep medicine (e.g. ESRS, World Sleep Society).

The content of the pre-recorded online lectures are divided in below categories:

• Basics
• Central Disorders of Hypersomnolence
• Chronobiology
• Clinical Assessment
• Insomnia
• Parasomnias
• Pediatrics
• Scoring
• Sleep Medicine Overview
• Sleep Related Breathing Disorders

In addition, 5 online live Q&A sessions led by experts in sleep medicine will take place from September 16-20, 2024 (1.5 hours per day). It is a great opportunity to learn directly from the experts. Please see the program below:

• Movement Disorders with Prof. Mauro Manconi and PD Dr. Panagiotis Bargiotas
• Physiology, Chronobiology and Sleep Scoring with PD Dr. Markus Schmidt and Prof. Antoine Adamantidis
• Hypersomnia and Driving with PD Dr. Markus Schmidt

Eligibility is open to applicants with a background in medicine as well as to everybody interested in Sleep Medicine.
