Open call for applications for the Director of Operations at USI

The Director of Operations is a management position responsible for overseeing all services at the Università della Svizzera italiana (USI). Reporting directly to Rector Luisa Lambertini, the Director of Operations will lead the administrative staff in implementing USI's Strategic Planning 2025-28, which was approved by the Ticino Cantonal Parliament at the beginning of November.

The open call follows the resignation of Marvin Blumer as Director of Operations for personal reasons related to his family's life project.

USI thanks him for his excellent work over the past year and a half: numerous projects have been completed in administration, including the Strategic Services Planning, financial planning for the next four years, and the implementation of the new organisational chart. The deadline for applications for the Director of Operations is 31 January 2025.

Università della Svizzera italiana is a young and dynamic international academic reality, in constant development (see latest figures): in the last academic year alone, it recorded an increase of more than 5% in the number of enrolled students (in the last 10 years, the growth has been more than 50% - from 2964 students enrolled in the academic year 2015-2016 to 4536 students today). The Administrative Services support the University in its academic mission by ensuring, through effective management of human, financial and technological resources, efficient, inclusive and goal-oriented accompaniment of the University. At the top of the administrative department is the strategic role of the Director of Operations.
