The work

This installation explores the theme of three-dimensionality, a concept that Dorici has previously examined in his large-scale works. While architecture has served as the "frame" for his installations in the past, this time, the work approaches sculpture. It retains the language and materials characteristic of a significant portion of his artistic practice. In creating this new series, the artist explored themes that resonate with him, including modularity, line, depth, and how light and physical elements transform space. This evolution represents a significant step forward: the installation becomes an autonomous sculpture, establishing its own architecture through a frame that defines its dimensions and shapes. The use of thread adds a layer of materiality that provides both structure and identity to the artwork.
The installation consists of four aluminium tube modules, each measuring 2 meters in height and 1 meter in width. These modules are arranged in various configurations to explore how form is perceived in different spatial arrangements. Visitors are encouraged to walk around the installation, experiencing how tension, lightness, and modularity change the interaction between space and structure.

A key feature of the installation is its interplay with light. During the day, the work emphasizes its physicality, showcasing the relationship between the structure and the surrounding architecture. The installation transforms at night, enhanced by Wood lights, taking on an evocative quality.
