USI Partners with Swiss Biotech Day and Startup Days 2025

Università della Svizzera italiana (USI), through its services USI Transfer and USI Startup Centre, will take part in two key events in the field of innovation and entrepreneurship.

The partnership with Swiss Biotech Day and Startup Days aims to strengthen and expand relationships and the network of contacts, thereby supporting the innovation ecosystem of USI and building bridges between the academic and entrepreneurial worlds across Switzerland.

These two initiatives, which bring together thousands of participants including universities, research centres, innovators, startups, investors and businesses, represent a strategic opportunity to showcase USI’s expertise, foster exchanges, and launch collaborations.

Through the involvement of USI Transfer, the University reinforces technology transfer by promoting the transition of academic research knowledge and results into the business world. These events will also serve as a platform to promote startups and spin-offs in life sciences, ICT, and other sectors that are part of the USI Startup Centre’s incubation programme, which supports early-stage,science-driven innovative projects.

Swiss Biotech Day, taking place on 5–6 May in Basel, is a premier conference for life sciences professionals. It that connects over 2,500 experts from  across the globe and offers a unique platform for forging partnerships and discovering the latest advances in R&D, manufacturing, data management, AI and innovative financing.
