Omar Visentin appointed Head of USI Lifelong Learning Service

Università della Svizzera italiana (USI) has appointed Omar Visentin as the new Head of the Lifelong Learning Service. He will officially take up the position on 1 May 2025 and will report directly to USI's Rector, Prof. Luisa Lambertini.

In the first phase of his term of office, Omar Visentin will focus, in particular, on an in-depth analysis of the Service, with the aim of defining its strategic directions and identifying priorities for action.

Omar Visentin, born in 1974, is a Swiss citizen born and raised in Ticino. After graduating from the Lugano 1 high school, he continued his studies at ETH in Zurich, where he graduated in engineering in 1999. He then obtained an MBA from INSEAD (Fontainebleau/Singapore) in 2003. His professional career began in management consulting at The Boston Consulting Group and then continued with positions in project management, chief of staff, COO, CFO and sustainability in the clothing and banking sectors
