Swiss AI Weeks, events organised by IDSIA USI-SUPSI

From 1 September to 5 October 2025, the first nationwide edition of Swiss AI Weeks will take place, a comprehensive festival featuring a programme of over 150 events in more than ten Swiss cities. From Basel to Bern, from Geneva to Lugano, via Lausanne, Lucerne, Lenzburg and St. Gallen. The aim is to create networks to build an ethical, accessible and socially useful future for artificial intelligence (AI).

The festival results from contributions by developers, researchers, cultural operators, healthcare professionals, and citizens, aiming to make AI an understandable and inclusive tool for the common good.

IDSIA USI-SUPSI will also play a significant role with a series of events focused on key areas of AI application.

  • 9 September - Applications of AI in clinical medicine: benefits, challenges, potential, at Ospedale Regionale di Lugano, Civico, Aula Magna - 6 pm.
     
  • 13 September - Opening of the "Robot" exhibition, in collaboration with L'Ideatorio USI, at L'Ideatorio, Cadro - 2 pm
     
  • 25 September - AI in the world of finance, in collaboration with the Ticino Banking Association (ABT), at Villa Negroni, Vezia - 5:30 pm
     
  • 26 September - ...and there will be no more problems: AI, work and the oracles of Big Tech, at Bar Oops, Lugano - 4:30 pm
     
  • 3 October - AI and audiovisual arts, in collaboration with USI and the Locarno Film Festival (details available soon on the official website)

The Swiss weeks dedicated to artificial intelligence are promoted by an extensive network of private and academic partners, including the AI competence centres of the two Federal Institutes of Technology.
