USI and LAC partner to facilitate students' careers in art and culture

Università della Svizzera italiana and LAC Lugano Arte e Cultura have signed an agreement to establish a dedicated channel for the professional integration of USI students through paid curricular internships. This initiative aims to strengthen the connection between the academic and cultural sectors in the Ticino region.

On 29 September 2025, an agreement was signed in Lugano by USI Rector Prof. Luisa Lambertini and LAC General Director Andrea Amarante. The purpose of this agreement is to provide USI Master's students with practical opportunities to apply the knowledge they have gained during their studies in the relevant field.

Through its Career and Alumni Service, USI will promote the internship opportunities offered by LAC and support the selection and academic recognition processes for the experiences gained. In return, LAC will prioritise USI students for paid internships that last at least three months, offering a dynamic and stimulating training environment at the heart of Lugano's cultural scene.

This collaboration aims to bridge the gap between academia and the professional sector, facilitating a well-rounded education and the successful entry of graduates into the labour market in the Canton of Ticino.
