Design in Town 2026 - Summer Camp

Once again in 2026, the USI Academy of Architecture will be partnering with Design in Town, a summer camp dedicated to design and creativity for young people aged 14 to 19. This unique project, which won the ADI Design Index 2016 award, takes place every summer in a magnificent village in Puglia, offering two- or three-week residencies to 240 students, supervised by 50 university lecturers/professionals and 30 tutors.

Students engage in eight disciplines: design, architecture, fashion, photography, video, graphics, communication, creative writing, and illustration.

They participate in an experience that is not a holiday, but rather an intensive course focused on orientation, growth, and discussion.

1,360 students have already participated in the twelve previous camps.
The project features collaboration among several international universities and institutions. Alongside the USI Academy of Architecture, partners include the IED European Institute of Design, the Aldo Galli Academy of Como, the Triennale Milano, the Cologni Foundation for the Métiers d'Art, and the Achille Castiglioni Foundation. Additionally, it has the endorsement of major trade associations, including ADI, ADCI, AIAP, AFIP, AI, and AIR3.
