Università della Svizzera italiana (USI) has made academic partner of the Deep Tech Nation Switzerland Foundation (DTN), a non-profit foundation dedicated to enhancing Switzerland's status as a leader in the deep tech sector. The foundation's goals include attracting venture capital investment, supporting the growth of technology start-ups and scale-ups, and promoting the creation of new skilled jobs.

The Deep Tech Nation Switzerland Foundation, located in Zurich, is a non-profit initiative dedicated to reinforcing Switzerland's position as a leader in advanced technologies. The foundation focuses on creating an environment that attracts investment, supports the growth of new and innovative businesses, and promotes the creation of skilled jobs.

Through this collaboration, USI will contribute to the Foundation's activities by providing academic expertise, experts and networks, participating in joint research initiatives, and promoting the Swiss innovation ecosystem.

"With this partnership, we are strengthening our role as a bridge between research, innovation and business, contributing to the development of a national technological ecosystem that is increasingly competitive and open to collaboration," says Luca Maria Gambardella, Pro-Rector for Innovation and Corporate Relations at USI.

The agreement also includes USI's involvement in entrepreneurship events and the opportunity to produce studies, analysis documents, and other strategic initiatives focused on advanced technologies.
