On Thursday, 27 November 2025, Università della Svizzera italiana will host an afternoon of studies dedicated to the new Electricity Agreement between Switzerland and the European Union, a key dossier for the country's energy future.

The encounter, organised by the USI Law Institute in collaboration with SELA – Swiss and European Lawyers Association, will bring together academics, representatives of European institutions and professionals from the sector to discuss the implications of the agreement on the Swiss electricity system.

The programme includes introductory presentations on the European context, two roundtables dedicated to electricity production, supply, and transmission, and a focus on market liberalisation, trading, and commercial operations. Speakers include experts from academia, the legal sector, energy companies and the European Commission.

The event will be held from 1:30 pm to 7 pm in room 355 (West Campus Lugano, Main Building), and is open to the public. Refreshments will be served at the end.

Registration is required.
