The USI students were able to participate in the “Research for Impact, Impact for Research” workshop on November 27, marking the launch of the new USI initiative Positive Impact Research Market (PIRM), co-financed by swissuniversities.

The workshop offered a brief “preview” of the PIRM experience through three discussion corners, each focused on topics of great practical relevance related to the various dimensions of sustainability. The themes discussed reflected the concrete challenges faced by the invited professional organizations and have a tangible impact on the world we live in. For interested students, some of these topics are already available as thesis proposals. The complete proposals can be viewed on CareerGate, in the dedicated section: ‘Thesis Proposal - Sustainability PIRM’.

The workshop is, in fact, the first public stage of the PIRM project, which now connects USI students who are about to write their Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral thesis chapter with professional organizations willing to discuss their sustainability challenges and acquire new insights and ideas from young talent.
