Solidarity with members of the USI academic community of Iranian origin

Università della Svizzera italiana expresses its closeness to the USI students and researchers of Iranian origin affected by the consequences of the violence in their home country.

In line with the position taken by the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA), USI expresses hope that the violence in Iran will cease and that the human rights and fundamental freedoms of the protesters will be guaranteed.

There is also a large community of USI alumni in the country, as evidenced by the recent meeting of Iranian former students held in October, to whom the University expresses its solidarity.
