Solidarity with the members of the academic community affected by the consequences of the conflicts in the Middle East

The Pro-Rectorate for Internationalisation wishes to reiterate the message previously issued by USI in January (https://www.usi.ch/it/feeds/33998), expressing its support for the students and researchers of USI affected by the consequences of the ongoing conflicts in the Middle East.

In line with the position of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA https://www.dfae.admin.ch/it/presa-di-posizione-situazione-iran), USI expresses its deep concern regarding the escalation of recent weeks following the military attacks against Iran. The University reaffirms the importance of full compliance with international law and calls for a de-escalation of the situation.
