CSCS-USI Summer School 2026 on Effective High-Performance Computing and Data Analytics: registration open

Registration is now open for this year's Summer School on "Effective High-Performance Computing and Data Analytics". Organised by the Institute of Computing and the Swiss National Supercomputing Centre, the School will be held from 25 to 31 July 2026, as an in-person event with participation opportunities for digital attendees.
The programme will take place at Hotel Serpiano, located in the Italian-speaking region of Switzerland. The hotel is positioned on Mount San Giorgio, a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2003, from where participants can enjoy an incredible view of Lake Ceresio and its surroundings.
The following topics will be covered:
- GPU architectures
- GPU programming (CUDA)
- Programming model
- Memory management
- Performance optimisation and scientific libraries
- GPU-Accelerated Computing with Python
- CUDA Python
- Numerical and communication libraries
The course content is tailored for 3rd-year Bachelor's students, Master's students, PhD students, and early-stage Postdocs interested in learning parallel programming models and gaining hands-on experience with HPC systems.
