Università della Svizzera italiana is a partner of Swiss Biotech Day and Swiss Startup Days—two leading national initiatives in the biotech and deep-tech sectors that draw thousands of professionals each year.
Innovative ideas need the right ecosystem to flourish and deliver tangible impact—specifically, a strategic environment that bridges expertise, resources, and the local region. Through USI Transfer and the USI Startup Centre, the University is committed to strengthening its innovation ecosystem, supporting researchers and young entrepreneurs as they develop pioneering projects. Participating in Swiss Biotech Day and Swiss Startup Days offers a vital opportunity to showcase USI's expertise, broaden networks, and facilitate exchange with industry stakeholders, including universities, research centres, startups, investors, and companies.
"These events provide an opportunity to strengthen dialogue, engage in knowledge exchange, establish contacts, and gather insights to support high-potential research and entrepreneurial initiatives emerging from the university environment. I therefore consider it essential for USI to be represented, not only at these forums but more broadly within the national innovation ecosystem," comments Prof. Antonio Carzaniga, Pro-Rector for Innovation and Corporate Relations at USI.
