The Martinican writer Patrick Chamoiseau, winner of the 1992 Prix Goncourt for Texaco and guest of ChiassoLetteraria (6–10 May 2026), will visit Università della Svizzera italiana on Thursday, 7 May. He will give his lecture from 3:30 to 5:00 pm in Room 355 of the Main Building (West Campus Lugano).

The author will take part in the "Français de la mode" course led by Professor Regina Bollhalder (in collaboration with the LLM – Language Centre), offering students a significant opportunity to engage with one of the most authoritative voices in contemporary Francophone literature. At the heart of the dialogue will be themes of cultural identity and the ethnographic value of fashion, understood as a form of non-verbal language.

The encounter is open to all interested students and faculty members.

The lecture will be held in French and is made possible through the collaboration with ChiassoLetteraria and the support of the Master in Digital Fashion Communication. For further information, please contact: [email protected]
