During the spring semester, USI hosted three classes eager to discover our university during a school trip to Lugano. These included two high schools (from the Cantons of Vaud and Lucerne) and a year 9 class from Acquarossa.

The young students from Acquarossa, accompanied by two teachers (one of whom is a USI alumnus), visited our university on Monday, 4 May. They were initially welcomed by the Study Advisory and Promotion Service, which, after a brief introduction to USI and the university world in general, showed them around the campus. The class ended the day with a guided tour of the Lugano University Library (BUL).

Previously, on 17 March, USI also hosted the Gymnase de Burier (VD). The class was in the Lugano area for an exchange programme with a Ticino high school. A few days later, on 26 March, our university welcomed students from the Kantonsschule Beromünster (LU), an institution that has been organising visits to our university for several years now.

Both classes attended a presentation about USI, its unique features, and its nine Bachelor's programmes. Afterwards, they had the opportunity to take part in an activity on misinformation and fake news with Professor Colin Porlezza. The visit concluded with a campus tour.
