StartCup Ticino 2016: registrations open!

StartCup Ticino is a competition for new and innovative business ideas or projects, conceived or realized in the Canton Ticino by promoters seeking to create new start-up companies.

During the public event that will be held on the USI Campus on December 1st, the winners of the competition will present their business idea or project.

Thanks to the support of the Department of Finances and Economy of the Canton Ticino, through its Economic Development Bureau, of the sponsor BSI Bank, and of the  institutional partners - CTI, USI, SUPSI, Fondazione AGIRE - the top five finalists of the StartCup Ticino 2016 will be awarded with:

• 50'000 CHF to the StratCup Ticino 2016 winner
• 30'000 CHF to the second ranked project
• 20'000 CHF to the third ranked project
• 10'000 CHF to the fourth and fifth ranked projects

Additionally, the five winners will be automatically admitted to the second phase of the selection for the Swiss Economic Award and to the 2nd Venture Day Ticino.

How to participate

To participate to the competition, you need to fill out the online form on the StartCup website, where you will also find all the necessary information concerning the rules of participation, selection procedure and other practical information.

Applications must be submitted online and be written in English by the 25th of September 2016. Applications written in Italian will be rejected.
