65 USI graduates in Economics

The graduation ceremony was held in the Aula Magna on Lugano Campus. 9 Bachelor degrees and 56 Master degrees were conferred.

USI Rector Boas Erez opened the ceremony followed by the Faculty Dean Patrick Gagliardini and the conferral ceremony of the Bachelor diplomas.

The ceremony also featured USI graduates Claudia Von Gunten (Master in International Tourism 2011, currently economic advisor of the Cantonal Administration in the field of tourism), Patrizia Holzborn (2001 4-years degree currently Chief of Finance at Le Creuset Group, Lugano) and the representative of the Alumni Service Simona Bolis.

Five scholarships by the SODESKA Foundation were awarded. The scholarships of 4,000 CHF each have been awarded since 2015 to the five most deserving Swiss students enrolled in Bachelor and Master programmes at USI Faculties. This year’s winners are Francesca Basile (Economics), Benjamin Charbonnet (Communication Sciences), Diego De Bernardi (Economics), Rudolf Robin Goldschmidt (Architecture) and Alexandra Alexia Zervudachi (Architecture).

Prof. François Degeorge, Director of the Swiss Finance Institute (SFI), discussed about the new SFI accreditation of the Master programmes in the area of finance.
