Academy of Architecture Graduation Ceremony

The graduates of 19 different nationalities have completed the 6 years of courses at the Academy of Architecture where an innovative and generalist teaching model is applied focusing on interdisciplinarity and the humanities. Students were able to acquire an open and critical expertise, ranging from the various types of architecture to urban and landscape design, from adaptive reuse, to sustainable construction.
The Diploma 2016 St. Moritz – Città Alpina (St. Moritz, Alpine City), directed by the architect from Canton Grison Valentin Bearth, has launched an investigation on the territory for the urban regeneration and landscape rehabilitation of strategic sites.
The students’ works supervised by the professors of the Academy were divided in 14 design studios and were carefully evaluated by a selected board, chaired by Ticino’s own Architect Aurelio Galfetti.
The exhibition of the graduates’ projects opened during the ceremony: a look at the Academy’s activities of that reflect the diverse approach
and methods adopted in the design studios.
The exhibition in the Gallery and the Foyer of the Canavée Building will be open until July 23rd 2016, Monday to Saturday, 10am – 5pm (free entrance).
