Since the end of the 40’s, the cultural Swiss institution and USI partner Swiss Institute in Rome, has been hosting artists and researchers in the Italian capital, offering them a chance to further their research activities. As part of its programme, ISR has also been hosting Summer Schools since 2018 at his prestigious headquarters in Villa Maraini, in the heart of Rome.

The 2019 call to reserve the space for events from July 8 to August 4, and from August 26 to September 8 has just opened. During the selection process, attention will be given to projects involving human sciences, social and natural sciences, architecture and fine arts, with special regard to those with a multidisciplinary approach between art and science.

USI has already taken advantage of this opportunity: last year the Academy of Architecture organised the Summer Schools "RRR Roma, Reuse and Restoration. Relationship and dialectic between reuse and restoration", concerning the interventions of reuse and restoration on architectural heritage sites (http://www.arc.usi.ch/it/news/detail/27272). Also last year the Summer School “Time, Time, Time: Science, Art & Philosophy” was held at ISR. The course organised by USI and University of Geneva focused on the concept of time, perspectives in science, art, and philosophy.
