Study Advisory and Promotion

The Study Advisory Service aims at supporting and accompanying students in the choice of a study programme and its subsequent job opportunities. The Study Advisors interact with students, high schools, orientation services, and other universities, and serve as a direct contact point with USI. Interested perspective students need to be informed about USI courses in order to find out which study programme meets their expectations.

To this purpose, the Study Advisory Service provides information about USI Bachelor and Master programmes, and is available through the entire academic year to discuss students’ educational options via email, phone, or personal appointment.

For the various presentation activities in Switzerland and abroad, the Study Advisory Service relies on a promoting team formed every year by USI students. Their presence is particularly appreciated during informative events, since they provide anecdotes on their personal experience, in addition to the institutional information provided by the Service.

A detailed calendar of the Service events is available under the section Open days and study advisory or at the Service Office (room 320).

Every year, in February, the Guidance Service organises, in collaboration with the Cantonal Office for Upper Secondary Education (UIMS) and the Cantonal Office for School and Career Guidance (UOSP), the event OrientaTI, an orientation fair for university studies aimed at third-year grammar school students in the Canton of Ticino.

The reception hours for telephone inquiries or in-person visits to the service are available here.

The service is also available for personalised consultations by appointment, either in person or remotely via Microsoft Teams, which can be booked on this page.
