ALPINE SEMINAR
The Alpine Seminar is a thematic seminar programme open to all Bachelor students at USI. Each seminar provides a cross-disciplinary learning experience lasting 2.5 days, in a residential format, hosted at USI’s House of Sustainability in Airolo.
The fundamental pedagogical tool is the immersion of students in the Alpine landscape, leveraging its educational role in fostering a mindset rooted in the culture of sustainable development. The Alps offer a unique setting to understand and encounter the major challenges of our century (climate change, planetary resources, transportation, energy, ...).
THESES
A number of USI students have chosen to devote their dissertations to an in-depth study of the theme of sustainability in its various dimensions: environmental, social and economic.
In order to provide an overview of the richness and variety of the research conducted in this field, the following list presents some significant examples of theses written in recent years, illustrating the diversity of the themes explored and the approaches used.
