Honorary Doctorate
The Honorary Doctorate - Dottorato honoris causa - is conferred as a way of honouring a distinguished person’s contributions to a specific field or to society in general. This honour is bestowed during the Dies academicus or – in certain cases – on other special occasions.
Honorary Member
The title of Honorary Member of the Università della Svizzera italiana is conferred as a way of honouring persons who "have particularly distinguished themselves for their commitment to supporting USI". This honour is bestowed during the Dies academicus.
University Medal
The University Medal is awarded to those who have made an "important contribution to the development of USI". This honour is bestowed during the Dies academicus.
