Economics Specialisation

The economics specialisation provides training for analysing and understanding competitive and non-competitive markets. Students will learn alternative economic organisational structures that have the potential to yield higher living standards and more desirable distribution of wealth.

Important notes                                    

Stream courses                                    

The Bachelor’s programme comprises a total of 8 stream courses (48 ects).                                               

It is possible to obtain a double specialisation under the following conditions: completion of all courses required for both specialisations and selection of elective courses from those offered outside the two specialisations.      

(***) It is compulsory to obtain at least 12 ects out of 3 courses.                                      

Elective courses                                               

The Bachelor’s programme comprises a total of 5 elective courses selected from other stream specializations (30 ects).

It is recommended to follow the distribution of courses between the 2nd year (3rd and 4th Semester) and the 3rd year (5th and 6th Semester), as well as the corresponding number of ects credits. However, it is possible to:                                           

  •  transfer ects credits earned in elective courses within the semesters of the same academic year                                        
  •  and transfer ects credits earned in elective courses from one academic year to another.                                    

Capstones                                           

The Bachelor’s programme comprises a total of 12 ects in capstones.
