On Thursday 14 March, in the context of the series organised by the MEM Freethinking Platform “Beyond chaos. Geopolitical and cultural configurations of the Middle East Mediterranean” (https://www.usi.ch/en/feeds/9779) Yves Ubelmann, president and co-founder of Iconem, will take us, through pictures and videos, on a journey covering the cultural sites damaged by war in the Middle East Mediterranean region.
Making use of the large-scale scanning capacity of drones and the photorealistic quality of 3D, Iconem has been working to map the cultural heritage ravaged or threatened by looting, urbanisation, mass tourism, armed conflict, and climate change. The talk, in French, will be held in the Auditorium, Lugano Campus, at 6.30pm.
