Do you need more time to complete your SNSF project? You have the opportunity to ask for an extension for up to 12 months. Extensions can be either cost-neutral (in cases of underspending) or requiring additional funding, generally to support the salary of the Phd student(s) employed on the project.
The requirements for such a request are:
- Scientific motivation of the request, showing that the reasons leading to the delay were unforeseeable; the purposes for which the extension is to be used and why it is necessary for the successful completion of the project;
- The financial situation, including a forecast of the final balance and a tentative budget of the extension period. This will be done by Servizio Ricerca.
