The Lugano Living Lab streamed live on 12 March the conference "Comparing technology, fashion and innovation; business opportunities in Lugano and Switzerland". The event was attended by many international guests and a few members of the USI community. Organised. Scheduled within the Milan Digital Week, which has been postponed to the end of May, the conference was carried out in a new format. The keynotes are now available on the L*3 youtube channel.

Promoted by the Lugano Living Lab and the City of Lugano, in collaboration with NetComm Suisse and Fashion Magazine, the event revolved around three thematic round tables to foster a discussion on entrepreneurship in Switzerland, Ticino, and Lugano. The debates moderated by Andrea Arcidiacono and Giada Marsadri focused on innovation and new technologies in the fashion industry.

USI was among the organisers, thanks to the contribution of Anna Picco Schwendener. Among the speakers of the various panels: USI Rector Boas Erez talked about "Innovation culture: Research and Development encouraged by framework conditions"; Luca Gambardella, Director of IDSIA (USI-SUPSI) took part in the debate on the role of digital innovation in the development of the fashion industry; finally, Lorenzo Cantoni, Director of the Institute of Digital Technologies for Communication and Director of the Master in Digital Fashion Communication, took part in the round table dedicated to the Lifestyle Tech Hub in Lugano.
