The new academic year will start Monday, 14 September. "Although the global health situation is still delicate and uncertain, USI is ready to resume its activities in the best possible way", underlines the USI Rector Boas Erez in his message to the academic community.

The training model for the upcoming semester has been established by investing in the importance of lectures and in-presence exchange, providing, however, a digital approach from the outset so as to ensure quality training in the most diverse scenarios. The campuses, classrooms, laboratories and offices have been organised in such a way as to ensure as much as possible a safe and functional study and work environment. New rules of behavior have been defined to accompany the community in the coming months in a clear and vigilant manner.

The academic body and the staff of the services will meet on Tuesday, 8 September at noon to begin this somewhat special academic year. This will be an opportunity to reaffirm the value of our living and working together, in safe but convivial surroundings.

The new COVID-19 Protection Provisions, updated by the Rectorate on Monday, 31 August, summarise much of the information that all members of the community need to know in order to manage and live the next semester to the fullest.

They will be progressively updated according to the evolution of the situation and can be viewed at the following link: https://www.desk.usi.ch/it/disposizioni-di-protezione-covid-19
