Two weeks of full-time courses, 216 participants from 23 different countries and 18 workshops. These are the numbers of the 25th Summer School in Social Science Methods which took place at the Campus West of the USI from 13 to 27 August 2021.

The 25th Summer School in Social Science Methods, organized by USI for the second consecutive year in close cooperation with the Swiss Foundation for social science research, has just concluded.

These two weeks of full-time courses on quantitative and qualitative research methods saw the participation of 214 Ph.D. students and researchers, 144 of whom in-person and 72 online. It is a record edition for the Summer School, which also offered 18 workshops for the first time.

According to the Director of the Summer School Prof. Benedetto Lepori "the School offered an exciting and stimulating context to researchers and students, where they could expand and reinforce their skills in advanced research methods. It also generated strong interactions between researches from USI and national and international universities, enriching the overall research experience. In general, the School represents an important contribution to improve the quality of Ph.D. training and academic research."
