Faculty of Biomedical Sciences honours its founding Dean Mario Bianchetti

This past Monday at the Tenero Sports Centre, in the context of the introduction week and during the welcome barbecue for the new Master of Medicine students, the Faculty of Biomedical Sciences paid tribute to its founding Dean Mario Bianchetti. The current Dean Giovanni Pedrazzini, Vice Dean on Research.
"We wanted to leave Professor Bianchetti a tangible sign of our gratitude; a crystal from our mountains, beautiful, solid and transparent as a symbol of the spirit with which he was able to lead our faculty during its early years", - said Giovanni Pedrazzini.
The new students of the USI Master of Medicine started their studies extra-muros with an introduction week at the CST in Tenero. There, they carried out some team building, courses on communication with patients and other activities. Afterwards, the first-year students of the Master in Medicine reached the new East Campus in Lugano, where they will continue their study curriculum.
