Auditorium - Campus Ovest USI

This event aims to provide updated information on the current status of Afghanistan (after collapse) with a focus on the educational restrictions and challenges in the country. Parwiz Mosamim, who is an Afghan journalist and currently working as an assistant PhD student in the Institute of Communication and Public Policy at USI, will present this event. The Taliban's regain of power has raised national and international concerns. The fear is that the Taliban once again rely on their previous strict religious regulations and stop girls from going to school. Recently, the Taliban did not allow girls above grade 6 to attend school. In this info-session, Parwiz Mosamim will speak about his educational experience (Afghanistan – Indonesia – Switzerland & SAR) and the current restrictions on Afghanistan’s educational system.

This session will be held in English for all of the people who are interested to be informed about the recent updates of Afghanistan’s situation, especially in the area of education.
