SNSF - Transforming Health and Care Systems (THCS): European call for proposals

The European partnership Transforming Health and Care Systems (THCS) is launching the transnational call for proposals “Healthcare of the Future”, in which Switzerland can participate with funding from the SNSF.
The objective of the call is optimizing patient care pathways and integrating hospital services, building necessary knowledge, identifying and implementing solutions for the healthcare of the future.
Research and innovation areas relevant to this call include:
- Health Policy and Systems Research;
- Health Technology Research;
- Social, economic and behavioural research.
International consortia composed of at least 3 and up to 9 partners from the following participating countries can apply:
Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, The Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United-Kingdom, United States.
Each partner is funded separately by their relevant national funding agency. Applicants from Switzerland must be eligible for the SNSF's project funding scheme. For Switzerland, there is no upper budgetary limit. The maximum Swiss funding is €900.000, anticipated number of funded research groups: 3-4.
Duration:
12-36 months
Submission of pre-proposals (Letter of Intent) is open until 23rd of May 2023. Submission is done by the consortia coordinators through the EU Partnership’s online platform.
Accepted pre-proposals will be invited to submit full proposals by the 13th of June.
Additionally, Swiss applicants must pre-register by sending an e-mail to [email protected] and complete the following preliminary sections in mySNF by 23 May: Responsible applicant, Project partners, Applicant’s employment, Basic data I and Basic data II.
