Dementia Research Switzerland – Synapsis Foundation supports projects in the field of neurodegeneration research.
- Research Grants for Principal Investigators: Support of innovative projects of established research teams.
- Career Development Awards: Support advanced postdoctoral researchers at Swiss Universities and Research Institutions seeking to establish themselves as independent researchers in the field of neurodegenerative disorders.
Eligibility criteria
- Applications can only be submitted by scientists working at a university or other research institution located in Switzerland.
- Only one project per main applicant is funded at a time.
Funding and duration
Research Grants for Principal Investigators supports with up to CHF 300’000 for up to 3 years (e.g. CHF 100´000 per year for a three-year project). Institutions may not charge indirect or overhead costs on these awards.
Career Development Awards supports maximum of CHF 100’000 per year for up to four years (phase 1 and 2). Institutions may not charge indirect or overhead costs on this award.
