L'Ideatorio and the Sport Service at the House of Sustainability in Airolo

The House of Sustainability at USI will serve as a learning centre for students and as the base for USI Sport Service, offering a diverse range of activities for the entire USI Community. Additionally, the House will host initiatives by USI L'ideatorio, responsible for managing the House and coordinating a cultural programme focused on sustainable development for the public and schools.
USI's Airolo antenna will soon launch an educational program on sustainable development challenges in the Alpine landscape.
Opening in spring 2024
The House of Sustainability will open its doors in the spring of 2024. From that date onwards, Alpine seminars for students, sports activities and the activities offered by L'ideatorio (cultural programme, activities for schools and the opening of the astronomical planetarium) will begin. Renovation work is currently underway on the building, which will provide adequate space for the various activities and 23 beds. The renovation project has taken all the necessary measures to maximise the building's energy efficiency, thanks to which the building will be able to obtain Minergie certification.
