TA-SWISS - Call for Proposals: Study on the Impact of Large Language Models (LLMs) on Skills in Switzerland

Selected teams will be invited to submit detailed proposals by April 16, 2025.
Eligibility
- Eligible applicants include interdisciplinary research teams with experience in the fields related to the study.
- The team should be capable of addressing the technical, ethical, and societal aspects of large language models (LLMs), and ideally include specialists from various fields to address different thematic aspects.
- Selected teams must be able to coordinate effectively with TA-SWISS and contribute to periodic progress reports and discussions.
Funding and Duration:
The funding range for this project is CHF 100,000 to CHF 160,000, inclusive of VAT.
The study's implementation is scheduled to begin in September 2025 (or later if agreed upon) and is expected to last approximately 12 to 15 months.
Timeline of the Call
- January 17, 2025: Deadline for project outline submissions (maximum of 4 pages).
- End of February 2025: Notification to selected teams to proceed to the next phase.
- April 16, 2025: Submission deadline for detailed proposals.
- Mid-May 2025: Final decision on the team awarded the study.
