Innosuisse Funding for International Projects
Research Service
Objective
Innosuisse supports international collaboration by funding innovation projects that combine Swiss expertise with global partners. These projects aim to foster cross-border knowledge exchange, enhance Switzerland’s innovation ecosystem, and bring competitive solutions to the international market.
Funding and Duration
Funding is tailored to the needs of the project, with Innosuisse covering the Swiss partner’s eligible project costs. The duration of projects is flexible and depends on the complexity and scope of the initiative. Funding programs facilitate collaboration under several international frameworks, such as:
- Bilateral programs (e.g., with Canada, South Korea, and others)
- European initiatives (e.g., Horizon Europe)
- Eureka network projects and Eurostars
Project Criteria
- The project must involve at least one Swiss research or implementation partner and one international partner.
- Projects should focus on innovative solutions with high market potential.
- The proposal must highlight the complementarity between the Swiss and international partners.
- The Swiss partner must demonstrate scientific excellence and/or innovative capacity.
- International partners must have the resources and expertise to drive global implementation.
