EMBA graduation ceremony

On Saturday, 15 March 2025, the graduation ceremony for the twelfth Executive Master in Business Administration (EMBA) was held in the Aula Magna of Università della Svizzera italiana (USI). The event was a moment of celebration for the participants who completed the training course.
The ceremony opened with a speech by the Director of the EMBA, Professor Paulo Gonçalves, who emphasised the value of continuous education. Prof. Gonçalves holds a PhD in Management Science from MIT Sloan and has been a Full Professor of Management at USI for 15 years. His primary research interests include System Dynamics Simulation, Behavioral Experiments, and Econometrics. Additionally, he has extensive experience in humanitarian projects at both national and international levels, where he actively contributes to developing strategic solutions for emergency and resource management in critical contexts.
A particularly significant moment of the ceremony was the speech of two EMBA Alumni, now leaders in their respective sectors. They shared their professional path and the challenges they faced in the business world, highlighting how the Executive MBA contributed to their managerial growth.
Nicola Roberto Tettamanti, CEO of Tecnopinz SA and President of Swissmechanic, shared his experience in the manufacturing sector, emphasising the importance of technological innovation and strategic resource management to compete in a global market. With a career focused on the mechanical and electromechanical industry, Tettamanti leads Tecnopinz SA, a company specialised in the production of high-precision clamping systems, and chairs Swissmechanic, the reference association for SMEs in the sector, representing over 1,250 companies with more than 65,000 employees.
Angelo Facchinetti, CEO of Ou(R)group S.r.l., shared insights about his extensive career in finance, private equity, and alternative investment management. With over 30 years of experience, he has held significant positions in financial institutions and investment funds, including Mittel Group and HOPA S.p.A. His career has been marked by his ability to guide companies through strategic transformation and growth processes, with a strong focus on resource valorisation and optimisation of company performance.
Both emphasised the crucial role of the Executive MBA in their professional and personal development.
During the ceremony, nine participants from the twelfth edition of the EMBA were recognised as graduates. Below is a list of the graduates, including their nationality and place of work.

At the end of the announcement, the participants and guests enjoyed an aperitif, an opportunity to strengthen professional ties and celebrate the achievement.
The Executive Master in Business Administration at USI continues its growth and innovation with the current edition, which has 14 participants, and the next edition starting in November 2025. The programme, structured as a weekend course, allows participants to explore management and leadership issues in depth.
