SNSF - Belmont Forum: call for proposals for Ocean 2

The SNSF is participating in the Belmont Forum’s Ocean 2 call.
This call seeks to integrate multilateral and collaborative approaches while strengthening the link between societal needs and science and technology.

Eligibility
Natural persons conducting scientific research at an eligible institution in Switzerland.
Applicants must meet the eligibility criteria defined by the SNSF, including:

Regulations on Project Funding
Ineligible parties:

Private companies are not eligible for SNSF funding.

Applicants may not request funding for their own salary.

Only one Swiss participant per consortium can receive SNSF funding.
Third-country collaborators:

Can be included as project partners (non-lead).
-
Their costs must not exceed 20% of the Swiss project budget.

If they are from a country participating in OCEAN 2, they must apply through their own funding agency and cannot be funded by SNSF.
Funding and duration
Maximum funding per project
CHF 400,000 (approximately €400,000) for the entire duration.
Total Swiss contribution for this call
CHF 1.6 million.
Project duration: Standard duration is 3 years
