Eligibility
Applicants must:

Conduct research at a Swiss university or eligible Swiss research institution

Be employed at ≥ 50% FTE for the duration of the project (or provide written assurance of employment).

Be able to lead the project independently and manage scientific and non-scientific staff.

Apply either:

as a single applicant, or
-
as part of a small consortium (max. 3 applicants) from independent research groups.

Funding and duration
-
Project duration: up to 4 years
-
Maximum funding: CHF 850,000 per applicant over 4 years
(reduced proportionally for shorter projects)
Timeline of the Call (From Submission to Decision)
BRIDGE Discovery follows a two-stage evaluation process:

Submission of proposal (via BRIDGE electronic platform, in English)

Initial eligibility check
-
Level 1 – Written evaluation (pre-selection)

Level 2 – Interview in English (final selection)

Final decision by the Steering Committee
