The prize, promoted by Ciao Table Association in collaboration with Università della Svizzera italiana and the Institute of Clinical Neuroscience of Southern Switzerland, is awarded annually to a female researcher for her outstanding scientific studies in the field of social interaction and the factors that promote inclusivity.
With an original focus, the prize highlights not only individual achievement but also the academic community's collective responsibility to pursue research that is innovative and important for women's careers. Consequently, the award is presented to the researcher's home university.
The Social Research Prize 2025, the fourth edition of the award, is granted to Veronica Witte, Associate Scientist at Leipzig University and Group Leader at the Department of Neurology of the Max Planck Institute.
