The Swiss National Contact Point (NCP) for the European Research Council (ERC) is organizing an online information event dedicated to the ERC Starting Grant 2027 call. The event is aimed at outstanding early-career researchers who have demonstrated excellence in their supervised research, are ready to establish their scientific independence, and show strong potential to become future research leaders. Participation is open to prospective applicants intending to submit their proposal with a host institution based in Switzerland.
Attendees will receive first-hand guidance on the ERC Starting Grant scheme, including detailed information on the 2027 call conditions and evaluation principles presented by representatives of the ERC Executive Agency. The programme also features insights and practical advice from a successful ERC Starting Grant grantee and an experienced ERC Panel Member, offering valuable perspectives on preparing a competitive application.
The event concludes with a general Q&A session followed by dedicated break-out meetings with Swiss host institutions, providing participants with the opportunity to discuss institutional support and funding opportunities.
