The CYD Doctoral Fellowship supports outstanding doctoral researchers working on interdisciplinary cyber-defence challenges. Fellows conduct their PhD research at the CYD Campus under the supervision of a professor at a Swiss higher education institution, contributing to research in cybersecurity, data science, AI, privacy, and digital trust technologies.

Eligibility
Applicants must:
- Be of any nationality and any age.
- Be enrolled in a doctoral programme at a Swiss higher education institution.
- Have the endorsement of a professor at a Swiss higher education institution willing to supervise the PhD project.
- Conduct research relevant to Swiss cyber-defence priorities.
- Preference is given to applicants who are at the beginning of their PhD or have not yet started.
Funding and Duration
- Funding duration: up to 4 years (possible 1-year extension).
- Covers:
- Salary contribution (including social security costs).
- Research costs up to CHF 3,000/year.
- Conference costs up to CHF 5,000/year.
