Warning: Fraudulent adverts on social media
Institutional Communication Service

Università della Svizzera italiana (USI) is alerting the public to unauthorised advertisements circulating on the internet and certain social media platforms that falsely promote alleged continuing education courses attributed to USI. This content specifically targets individuals over the age of 45.
USI is entirely unconnected to these initiatives and urges the public to exercise caution, advising against clicking any links in these adverts, providing personal details, or making payments. These are fraudulent communications that could be used to steal information or money.
USI reminds the public that the name, logo, and other identifying elements of USI must not be used by third parties without explicit authorisation from the University (https://www.desk.usi.ch/en/corporate-design-templates-and-rules).
USI's official continuing education courses can only be viewed on the websites www.usi.ch and www.usi.ch/en/education/continuing-education, and enrolment procedures for the University's programmes are managed strictly through the channels indicated on the official pages.
Anyone wishing to verify that a continuing education course is genuinely offered by USI before registering can contact the University at [email protected]. Any reports regarding misleading advertisements or the unauthorised use of the University's name and logo on social media can be sent to [email protected] so that USI can review and report them.
