On Friday, October 20th, the IBSA Foundation for Scientific Research granted the first scholarships intended for USI students enrolled in the Bachelor in Medicine at the University of Basel who will continue their studies with the Master in Medicine at USI.

The Scholarships were handed out by Silvia Misiti, Director of the IBSA Foundation, and by Boas Erez, Rector of USI, in the presence of the IBSA President Arturo Licenziati, and of the professors of USI Faculty of Biomedical Sciences.

At the ceremony, the Rector of USI expressed “the gratitude that USI and the entire region have for the IBSA Foundation which, with its commitment for the next 11 years, will thus contribute to the development of the University and the entire medical sector in Ticino”. The Rector also emphasized IBSA commitment in other areas, such as popular science, fundamental research and continuing education.

Sivlia Misiti confirmed, “for the IBSA Foundation supporting education and culture is an investment on the future of all of us. It is therefore significant for us to follow the growth of an important and young reality such as USI."
