Fintech is a comprehensive innovation which will enable the implementation of financial technology in new ways (such as the supply of services and products through the most advanced information technologies). Furthermore, it offers a wide support aimed at stimulating innovation and digitalization processes in the finance sector. A huge opportunity for entrepreneurial development, therefore.

On March 20, 2018, at the Lugano Banking Day, political authorities, academics, and key international players in the field of finance will convene in Lugano at the Palazzo dei Congressi to explore the opportunities that financial tecnology can offer to the Swiss financial marketplace, and to discuss all the relevant strategic issues. Throughout the event there will be workshops hosted by selected practitioners, with whom participants will discuss about how to implement modern financial technologies in new ways, and how they can contribute to overall economic and business development. At the closing panel discussion, keynote speeches will be given by UBS CEO Sergio Ermotti and by BlackRock Vice Chairman Philipp Hildebrand,  among others.

Lugano Banking Day is jointly organised by ABT Ticino Banking Association and DFE Department of Finances and Economy of the Canton Ticino, in collaboration with USI Università della Svizzera italiana and the City of Lugano.
