This year, Hack the City, the hackathon to create innovative projects to inspire today’s digital citizens, will make a stop at USI from April 27 to the 29. Developers, designers, and enthusiasts of the field of technology, business and innovation, will compete for 48 hours on Lugano Campus, trying to make an impact by presenting creative solutions to real life problems.

Hack the City welcomes all ideas, projects, and participants with experience in different fields, from Fintech, to original app development, from blockchain, to IoT. Projects will be judged mostly on creativity, followed by their potential impact. Free registration is open to all USI students, even outside of the Faculty of Informatics, by entering the participation code HTC18USIINF-100.

The best 3 projects will receive a prize of 5000, 2500 and 1000 CHF, courtesy of the event sponsors: ACER Europe, BancaStato, CP Start-Up, Eidoo, RSI and Wikimedia Switzerland.
