Stream in Finance and Economics

Based on the common body of knowledge, students of the Finance and Economics stream will follow a sequence of courses preparing them for quantitative analysis specialized in economics and financial markets.

Students will understand the assumptions behind economic and statistical models and assess their ramifications for empirical work. They will be able to devise new models and adapt existing models to requirements arising with particular applications.
Significantly, graduates will be prepared to interpret results and present them adequately to the technical level of their audience.

A wide array of job prospects will be open to Finance and Economics students, ranging from statistical consultancy, quantitative analysis, and data science in institutions that partake in financial markets. This encompasses financial institutions, central banks, banking regulation, etc.
