What after the Bachelor?

The Bachelor in Philosophy offers a high-quality education that prepares for further studies in the best Masters in philosophy. Graduates of the Bachelor have been admitted to excellent programmes, including those at the University of Geneva, University College London, the London School of Economics, USI, and many others.

In particular, the two-years Master in Philosophy (MAP) offered by the Institute of Philosophy at USI is taught entirely in English. The MAP is a research-oriented programme, whose students have been admitted to renowned doctoral programmes such as those of the University of Oxford, Durham, Geneva, King's College London, Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa, Syracuse University, and many others.

The track in Philosophy and Communication gives access to the following Masters offered by USI:

The track in Philosophy and Economics gives access to the Master in Economia e politiche internazionali offered at USI.

The track in Philosophy and Literature gives access to the Master in Lingua, letteratura e civiltà italiana offered at the Istituto di studi italiani.

The track in Philosophy and Mathematics and Programming offers basic background education in both mathematics and computer science. Access to the Masters at USI’s Faculty of Informatics is on a case-by-case basis and may be direct or with educational debts, depending on the student’s background. In addition, this course offers a solid foundation and a potential complementary advantage for those who wish to continue their studies with a Master in Philosophy specialising in Logic, Philosophy of Mathematics, Philosophy of Physics, or Philosophy of Science, such as the Master in Philosophy at USI-FTL.
