The first Graduation Ceremony of the Master in Digital Fashion Communication, a programme offered by Università della Svizzera italiana in collaboration with Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University (Paris, France), took place in Paris on Friday, 28 January 2022.

The ceremony, available in streaming, was an actual premiere since it was cancelled in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

During Friday's event, diplomas were awarded to 18 students.

For the occasion, Lorenzo Cantoni, Director of the Master in Digital Fashion Communication and Pro-Rector for Education and Students' experience at USI, spoke and briefly retraced the birth of the double degree: launched in the academic year 2018-19, it has already drawn students from 25 countries.

He then congratulated the new graduates, who have been the "pioneers" of the programme and are now its ambassadors at their companies. He then concluded by noting how the last two years have clearly demonstrated the importance of this course of study: the use of digital media and eCommerce has had an enormous acceleration in the world of fashion, both in response to the pandemic and in line with a process of digital transformation that began well before.
